We are an international company specialized in Software for Shipbuilding. Our customers are shipyards and engineering firms all over the world.

MasterShip’s Headquarters, an engineering office as well as a software department, are based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands (Europe). The Eindhoven area is a hot spot of leading Research and Development.

Located in Shanghai are a marketing and a software department and in Wuhan an engineering office.

The Core Business
Our core business is work preparation for shipbuilding. Our knowledge of shipbuilding has been leveraged in our CAD/CAM software suite, called ‘MasterShip’. By building our software on the AutoCAD platform we are able to support the big majority of shipyards. We are a leading player in several international markets. Our longstanding experience with automation of building ships and yachts and our focus on quality give us a unique position in the market.

We cooperate with the top technical Universities in the Netherlands and in China.

The Job
You will become a member of an experienced and growing software development team.

We develop new features and improve and test our existing code base. Our software is developed in C++ and C# using the AutoCAD API. We work according to a structured development process, which allows us to maintain a high standard for our work

You will take part in developing exciting new features to our software, in order to expand our potential customer base. You will work closely together with colleagues in China and The Netherlands. As a starting software engineer you will receive assignments and report progress to the senior software engineers.

Skills Required
You have 2 years or more experience in programming object-oriented software applications in C++. Experience with Microsoft Foundation Classes and / or .NET is a big plus.
Also some AutoCAD API and SQL knowledge is a big plus.

To be successful in this position you:

• Have completed a Master or Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering or Shipbuilding.
• Live in Shanghai or are prepared to move there.
• Have an excellent command of the English language, both in writing and in speaking.
• Are available full-time.

Functie-eisen

• HBO+ opleiding of gelijkwaardige ervaring in CAD/CAM software ontwikkeling; affiniteit en/of ervaring met scheepsbouw is een grote pré
• Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring in CAD/CAM software ontwikkeling
• Goed tot zeer goede kennis van C++
• Ervaring met CAD systemen en met name AutoCAD
• Enige ervaring met het leiden van software ontwikkelprojecten
• Goede beheersing van de Nederlandse en Engelse taal in woord en geschrift
• Management capaciteiten
• Bereid te reizen (2 à 3 maal per jaar 10 dagen China)

Taakomschrijving
Projectmanager voor scheepsbouwkundige CAD/CAM software projecten. Daarnaast teamleider voor software ontwikkelteam in China.
